17 June 2011 - The best of luck to the Clare Senior hurling team on Sunday.
As a mark of protest at the way referees are appointed for Intercounty GAA championship matches, I will not be attending.
For provincial championship matches, referees should be appointed out of a hat, from all counties in the 3 provinces not involved.

10 May - Called on Enda Kenny and the other political leaders to allow their County and City Councillors a free vote when it comes to nominating Presidential Candidates.
I also called on the County and City Councils to apply a secret ballot when voting on Presidential nominations.

April 7 - 2011 - I am seeking an Independent Nomination for the Irish Presidential Election.
'Vótaigí Ó Maolchíonaí - 'The British & Irish States have taken away my good name, the Irish County and City Councillors can give it back, by allowing me to contest the Irish Presidential Election as an Independent candidate.'

The National Pension Reserve Fund should invest in the National Roll-out of Eirgrid, because of it's strategic National importance, and set a completion date of 2014.
Oct 7 - The Mater Hospital site is totally unsuited for the construction of the new National Children's Hospital, because of the access and parking difficulties.
The best location for this hospital from an access and accessibility point of view will be Ireland's new Capital, on a green-field site near Moate.
However, the best Dublin City Centre location is where St Mary's Hospital in the Phoenix Park is currently located.

I am opposed to the sell-off of Ireland's Semi-State companies, that is being advocated by the professional services vested interest groups, who want to profit from the consultancy fees.
One of the perks of living in Ireland is being able to walk Coillte land without interference, as it belongs to all of us.
If all of Ireland's Semi-State companies were sold off, it would only reduce the National Debt by €10 Billion.
The course of action that will make a serious dent in the National Debt is if the Irish State legally takes over the Corrib Gas Field worth €540 Billion, and that is what I propose.

The €5 Billion Metro North should be replaced with Bus Rapid Transit routes instead, that are currently in use in Nantes in France.
The Nantes Bus Rapid Transit route system could be rolled out to every City and Large Town through-out Ireland for an approximate total budget of €1- €2 Billion.
This would be a good project for Ireland's Civil Engineering students. Design a Bus Rapid Transit route system for your local City or County town.
